After the Workshop Ends
Many facilitators have found that seven weeks goes by very quickly for consumers and many people wish they could continue meeting. Consider a few creative ideas others have tried:
- Leave the Zoom room or meeting room open after the session ends for consumers to informally hang out
- Alternate between the Peer Collective and a less structured Peer Support group every other week to extend the workshop timing to 12 weeks instead of seven
- Plan for a Peer Support Group or other type of group to follow the Peer Collective that consumers can join
- Have periodic “reunion” events that anyone from the Peer Collective can join
- Have a list of other community and social activities to suggest leading up to the final session
